How to extend your passport!

Hope you all might notice how to extend your passport if you are in abroad. And i am sure you know how to deal with Burmese staff at Embassy. I won't say what to do with them but go and see.

Here is just to share only some process in Bangkok since i can not mention everything in detail. I wish i could show you some photos of the staff and people around there. How they deal with their own people, how can you solve your problems in short cut way, how to smile with them and etc...

There are some people like you and can make friend to share some info. But there also some people that you have to avoid... :P Otherwise, make sure that you have enough money. :)

But no worry much! If you are a student, make sure that you bring "Student Certificate" from your University. When you arrive at Embassy, just go straight to office counter and ask Passport extention form. Be nice!...

Fill out quickly as it's not so completed and better submit before lunch (Noon). Otherwise, it may take to another day. Make sure that you submit application form with one photo (passport size) and attach "Student Certificate".

Officer will check your application for a while and say "Ok" if you don't have any special case OR problem, and ask you to wait for a while and he will call your name. But be ready to go out for lunch! Otherwise, you will miss your lunch for that day... :P If you can submit early, it may be another story to get before lunch. But very less assure!

Don't forget to move around in front of counter and show your face to officer. Otherwise, you may be forgotten. You may also ask at least once but not often!
If you are with work permit visa, then pay first all taxes. No way to do without this. Officer will stamp for another 3 yrs and cost 4,000 Baht. To change new passport book, it cost 10,000 Baht to one of my friends.

Student Status Certificate at ABAC

Oh... That's not easy to post my blog very often like in the previous time. I won't give it lots of reason to do so. But still hard to handle.

Well, if you are here in Bangkok as a student, you will need to bring along student status certificate whenever you go to government office or other company industry. It's a good thing to share how the process is.

But let me share based on my experience now as i am waithing in front of registration office to get it. They have a form to fill whether Urgent OR Normal. If you request Urgent, you have to pay 150 Baht and 50 Baht if it's normal.

I need Urgent now as i am going to extend my passport before noon. I just fill the form and a young staff lady ask me if i can come back around 11 befornoon. Then i say "No... If possible, i'd like to get it now and continue to Embassy"

And she says "How about 10 am", i still say "NO", and ask "9:30am?"
Then, she approaches to her senior staff, back to me and says "we need 1 hr to finish"

Just a simple question comes to my mind and ask her "I need Urgent, and it's only a sealed of Papper and why it takes one hr"..... "Who is your director" and she says "U...".. then i ask again "Can i meet with him since it's Urgent".... and they do me a favor to be faster NOW...Let me ask them if i can get NOW. I will let you know what's going at Embassy... C U!

I wish the Storm might not come to Myanmar Again!

Based on AP news, says "New storm head toward cyclone-devstated Myanmar" and warn that "a significant tropical cyclone" will form within the next 24 hours and head across the Irrawaddy delta area" as warning report from The Hawaii-based Joint Typhoon Warning Center.

I really wish that it might not happen again as thousands of innnocent people died and many become homeless.

Now i am in the office and can see Bangkok become almost dark with Cloudy and start to rain. I don't know how i could go back home tonight. I pray for the safty life of our people in Myanmar.

All My Classes are DONE!

This evening is my last class in Assumption university of Thailand as we just did our final presentation on "Knowledge Management in Orgainzation"at 8:15 pm, Tue 2008.

I take 2 subjects in this summer as my last class and only Master Project is left. I spend 2 and half year to finish all my Subjects including comprehensive exam since i won't do thesis.

But i don't know my comprehensive exam result yet though we did in last Jan 08. I am sure one lecturer is taking time to sign. Anyhow, i am waiting to see this result in a possitive way.

Since all my subjects are done, i need to start to move on some of my dreams and plans which might begin in June/ July 2008.

I really have a good time here with all international classmates and some of my friends are graduated and some are still remain with final project or comprehensive exam. Anyhow, i think a student life is enough here till i finish my Final project and will continue to study thru life in real world.

Good Bye my class and Good Bye all classmates. See you around and we can meet if we do Final Project together. I am not sure where i will be and when i will be ready to present. I wish all the best for your life and dreams may come true.

10th day of the Cyclone Nargis disaster!

Today is the 10th day of Cyclone Nargis disaster in our country, Myanmar and we all are in deep concern for our own people who stay homeless and also pray for departed souls. And Friday Night, 2 May 2008 become one of the worst disaster day in our Hitory.

I come to see now many donation groups come out among our students apart from Int'l NOGs and Organization. As we are students, our contribution will not be much like other Organization but believe it will be helpful as the corner stone to victims. I am in one group and we plan to donate one targeted group directly since we can't contribute to all though we wish.

Great thanks to our International Members who plan to contribute with us to show as we all are in solidarity with the victims and the Myanmar People. Our last date of contribution will be on 18 of May 2008.

I personally pray that all the departed souls may rest in peace and the suffering people may have the normal life as soon as possible.

Did you hear this?
Based on Catholic news inside Myanmar, 2 Catholic priests that i knew were missing in the storm and another priest died in the next day with effect of Nargis. There might be more people and friends that i knew when i was in those regions became victims.

May the Greatest God be with you all!

Rain in Bangkok

It's been rainning since around 5 pm here in Bangkok and can't stop it clearly till now 10:30 pm. I was lucky that i got to my friend's room since we have some discussion for our group.

Well, it's heavy rain though it happens rarely here for such long hours. It was cloudy this afternoon when i was in the lab of A building while i was preparing my presentation. Now i am fine here to get back to my room. But still need to continue my paper work.
